DAPIncoterms 2020
Delivered at Place
Seller delivers the goods ready for unloading at the named destination; the buyer clears imports.
DAP means the seller delivers the goods to the named place in the destination country, ready for unloading. The seller bears all cost and risk up to that point; the buyer unloads and clears the goods for import.
DAP is a common term for B2B shipments where the buyer has an in-house customs broker. If the seller is willing to handle import clearance too, use DDP.
Because the seller bears risk to the destination, DAP shifts more weight onto the seller than CIP or CPT.
