Preserved mushroom AD orders extended for Chile, China, India, Indonesia
The U.S. Department of Commerce has completed expedited fifth sunset reviews of antidumping duty orders on preserved mushrooms from Chile, China, India, and Indonesia, finding that revocation would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping. The orders remain in place, protecting domestic mushroom producers from below-cost imports.

On 29 May 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce published the final results of expedited fifth sunset reviews for antidumping duty orders covering certain preserved mushrooms from four countries: Chile, China, India, and Indonesia. The Commerce Department found that "revocation of the antidumping duty (AD) orders on certain preserved mushrooms (mushrooms) from Chile, the People's Republic of China (China), India, and Indonesia would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping."
Who is affected
Exporters of preserved mushrooms (HS Chapter 07 products) from the four named countries face continued antidumping duties on shipments to the United States. E-commerce merchants, importers, and distributors sourcing preserved mushrooms from Chile, China, India, or Indonesia must continue to pay applicable AD rates at U.S. Customs, calculated on top of regular import duties and applied to each entry.
Sunset reviews occur every five years to determine whether the original dumping has truly ceased. In this expedited review cycle, Commerce determined the domestic mushroom industry would face material injury if the orders lapsed, so the duties remain active.
What this means for shippers
Importers sourcing preserved mushrooms from Chile, China, India, or Indonesia must treat every shipment as subject to antidumping assessment. Verify the exact HS classification of your mushroom product (typically HS 0709.99 or similar) and confirm current AD deposit rates with your freight forwarder or Customs broker before committing to purchase. Any anticipated landed-cost analysis must include these antidumping duties or you risk margin compression at entry. Check /hs-codes/search to confirm classification and verify the product origin.
